Top 5 Reasons Data Engineers Make this Choice

No one wins when your ETL software can’t scale with your growing business.   For Fivetran customers, scaling their data pipelines is even more costly and complicated with the recent change in how Fivetran calculates unit costs per million rows. Read full blog for details.

That’s one of the Top 5 reasons data engineers choose CData Sync over Fivetran:

1. Flexibility to deploy anywhere

Sync self-hosted and SaaS versions, at all pricing tiers, with uniform license cost, is the better choice for security and performance.

2. Ability to connect to all your data – at a deeper level- and trust that it’s accurate

Sync includes 270+ driver-based connections with deeper connectivity across a wider range of connectors. Sync also provides more datastore destinations than Fivetran.

3. Predictable pricing – connection-based vs. usage-based pricing model

Easier to budget and scale, Sync’s Standard connection-based plan allows five connections and up to 100 million rows of replicated data each month.

4. Single tool for ETL/ELT, reverse ETL and custom transformations

Sync features ever-expanding reverse ETL functionality, allowing users to bring SQL Server, Snowflake, and Redshift data back into Salesforce or Dynamics 365.   Sync also integrates with dbt Core and Cloud to facilitate data transformations and offers custom SQL transformations.

5. Granularity of data security, governance, and control without black-box normalization

Sync’s SaaS offering gives each customer a private cloud instance, separate from any other customer instance. Nothing in the data is changed without a customer explicitly dictating the change. Sync’s connectors feature end-to-end encryption.  Read the full blog to learn more.

Is your data infrastructure ready for AI?

I had an insightful conversation with Drew Clarke, GM, Data Business Unit at Qlik, on The Ravit Show about the evolving landscape of data management and AI readiness.

We discussed Qlik’s recent acquisition of Upsolver (acquired by Qlik) and how it enhances low-latency data ingestion and optimization, particularly with Apache Iceberg. Drew also shared insights on modern data product strategies and how businesses can maximize value from their data.

A key takeaway? AI success starts with data quality. We explored how companies can assess if their data is AI-ready using Trust Scores and how to balance data innovation with compliance and governance.

For organizations looking to build a scalable, AI-driven data strategy, this conversation is packed with valuable insights!!!!
